A blessing and clearing ceremony is a wonderful way to begin a new chapter in a new home or special space with intention and positive association and clear out any stagnant energy. With this offering, we gather together in the space with family and friends, recite a peaceful blessing, and then I demonstrate how to smudge the space with a freshly bundled sage wand that is given to the homeowner or proprietor to continue the ritual as desired. Each room is blessed as well. The ceremony is often followed by a welcoming celebration or housewarming party.
Smudging is a ritual that uses smoke from burning sacred plants to energetically cleanse a space and welcome positive energy. Traditionally, ethically sourced sage or other aromatic herbs or plants are burned so that the smoke permeates the space while the earthy scent provides a sense of grounding. Sage, in particular, has antibacterial qualities which aid in purifying the area. A spiritual blessing is also declared to invite peaceful intentions and promote well-being, comfort, protection, and abundance for all who enter and depart.
Pricing is $100 for the ceremony. Additional time is $50 an hour. Travel rates apply for areas outside of San Antonio.
