Handmade in our colorful and beloved hometown of San Antonio, Texas by Stephanie Koithan, Habitat Hammocks are hand woven and hand dyed using ancient techniques and natural materials. Stephanie grew up weaving hammocks for her mother‘s business and as an adult returned to weaving as a form of therapy and a way to reconnect with her roots. Now she earns a living out of creating peace for herself and those who enjoy her hammocks too.
Habitat Hammocks are made with sustainable and machine-washable materials and are dyed with safe fabric dyes. Each hammock is pre-washed several times to make sure the color doesn’t bleed. Unlike many other hammocks, Habitat Hammocks are unlikely to flip over due to their unique design.
Please note that since these hammocks are hand-dyed, there may be some variation in shade between the photo and the received product.
The hammock hangs from two points, which we recommend spacing between 5 and 10 feet apart. They can stretch to approximately 8-9 feet in either direction and work well on a 10 foot stand or between two shady and study trees. Weight can hold up to 500lbs.
*Hammocks include hardware and simple directions.
